Deadline for Abstract Submission: March 23, 2009:

The abstract submissions are for poster presentations. However, out of these abstracts, the Symposium Planning Committee will select four students to also give oral presentations.

We will not accept abstracts unless you are first registered for the meeting. Please note that the deadline for abstract submission is March 23, 2009. If the Symposium Planning Committee does not select your abstract for a presentation, we will refund your registration without penalty if you do not wish to attend the Symposium. Otherwise, the refund policy will apply.

Abstract Submission: Limit of 250 words

Format:

Please include the following information in this order:
-Title of Abstract
-Author(s)
-Affiliation
-Contact person and email address
-Typed Abstract (Please keep to the 250 word limit)

Ways to Submit:

1) By Email: (This would be the preferred way for the OISB Administration Staff!) You may email your abstract as an attachment to: sysbio@uottawa.ca.
2) By Fax: you may fax your abstract to:

Student Poster Prizes:

There will be "poster judges" at the 2009 symposium. If you are a student, your poster presentation may be selected for a prize! The poster prizes will be awarded as follows:

First prize: $500.00
Second prize: $300.00
Third prize: $200.00

Please note that these prizes will only be awarded to students.
