Collaboration between the Ottawa Institute of Systems Biology and the Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica

Background
The Ottawa Institute of Systems Biology and the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ottawa signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences for research in neurosciences.

The two institutions will collaborate on using systems biology to better understand the mechanism of action of Traditional Chinese Medicine and their active components with an initial focus on Alzheimer’s Disease.
