Course content:
The course is focused on methods for the purification and analysis of proteins. We will cover protein purification approaches, the determination and analysis of protein structure , protein quantitation and protein modifications.


What to expect on the first day of class:
You will be asked to provide a 2 min Introduction using 1 Powerpoint slide
On the first day of class, each student should 1) submit a brief written abstract that Dr. Figeys will use to match student expertise with the perspective articles they are are assigned to review and 2) bring a single powerpoint slide that you will use to introduce yourself to the group. The following information should be included in your written abstract:
a) name/student number
b) who you work for
c) where you are in your program (M.Sc. or Ph.D, what year)
d) whether this is your first graduate course
e) your thesis topic and areas of expertise
Maximum 100 words.
The powerpoint slide can be of anything you think would be helpful to introduce yourself to the class. In your 2 min presentation, you will tell us:
a) who you work for
b) where you are in your program (M.Sc. or Ph.D, what year)
d) whether this your first graduate course
d) your thesis topic
