Research Interests

Dissecting dynamic protein-protein interactions in a systematic manner by small-molecules is a post-genomics research dream and it presents tremendous challenges and opportunities in developing new therapeutic directions in bio-medical research. Combining the skills of modern organic synthesis with the library generation technologies on solid phase and the small molecule microarray printing technology, the Arya laboratory is developing high-throughput approaches to explore the natural product-like chemical space. Working in collaboration with the cell/chemical biology community, these compounds are then utilized in search for chemical dissectors of biomacromolecular (i.e. protein-protein) interactions and dynamic multiple protein networking-based signaling pathways.
